GoodMoney® Overview GoodMoney is an innovative collaboration between Prospera Credit Union and Goodwill Industries of North Central Wisconsin that delivers a not-for-profit alternative to payday lending, while also offering additional financial services such as check cashing and wire transfers at affordable rates to those facing monetary challenges. GoodMoney also provides access to the Menasha-based Financial Information & Service Center (FISC) where financial workshops, money/budget counseling, and debt management plans are offered to help people better understand and manage money. The combination of reduced-fee services and financial education opportunities makes GoodMoney a unique concept and an innovative model for similar endeavors throughout the credit union industry. GoodMoney's first location began with Goodwill in Darboy June 2005, and was rolled out to all five Prospera Credit Union locations in May 2006. GoodMoney's newest location is within the Green Bay West Goodwill location which opened June 19, 2008. Additionally, in response to the many inquiries pertaining to the GoodMoney program, Prospera has created a turnkey solution to assist other credit unions across the nation in implementing their own GoodMoney not-for-profit payday lending program. To date, four credit unions have signed on to the GoodMoney program – Superior Choice Credit Union in Superior, WI, Delta County Credit Union in Escanaba, MI, Frankenmuth Credit Union of Frankenmuth, MI and Tri-Rivers Federal Credit Union of Montgomery, AL. 	GoodMoney® Partners Prospera Credit Union Prospera Credit Union is a community credit union with five full-service branch locations and approximately 15,000 members throughout the Fox Cities. The mission of Prospera is to help people prosper financially to enhance their quality of life. Headquartered in Appleton and founded in 1934, Prospera Credit Union is open to all people living or working in Brown, Calumet, Outagamie or Winnebago counties. FISC offers financial workshops and money/budget counseling to help individuals and families manage their money. FISC also develops debt management plans for those who are already in financial trouble.
